We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and the ultimate authority for faith and practice;
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory;
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone, and that faith without works is dead;
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life characterized by righteousness and obedience;
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life, and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation;
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ;
We believe that saving faith cannot be coerced and that religious doctrine and practice is a matter between man and His Creator; therefore, government may neither restrict religious exercise nor bind the conscience;
We believe that God has created all mankind in His image, and therefore every person’s life, including the preborn, is inestimably valuable and deserving of equal protection of the laws;
We believe that God has created each person with an immutable biological sex of either male or female, and that God has designed for marriage to involve a man and a woman coming together in a covenantal, lifelong, monogamous marriage for the purposes of raising children and affording mutual support;
We believe that God has created different spheres of authority, including the individual, the family, the church, and the civil government, with separate and distinct jurisdictions, all for the purpose of ordering human society;
We believe that God has given parents the responsibility to nurture and direct the upbringing and education of their children;
We believe that the Great Commission involves a cultural mandate to advance the lordship of Christ in the public square;
We believe that cultural and political engagement should be motivated by an earnest desire to honor God and to love one’s neighbors;
We believe that God’s moral law, as revealed through Scripture and nature, defines justice eternally and unchangingly, and is binding upon all individuals and nations; this moral law distinguishes between sins (which are the proper jurisdiction of individuals, families, and churches) and crimes (which are the proper jurisdiction of the civil government);
We believe that civil government is an institution of God created to promote His justice on earth by restraining evil and promoting good; therefore, all believers owe obedience to civil authorities as unto the Lord, so long as civil government acts within its proper jurisdiction;
We believe that civil officials are God’s ministers of justice and, as such, will give an account to God for their fidelity in promoting biblical justice;
We believe that Christians have a moral obligation to exercise the responsibilities of citizenship and vote for civil officials who embody biblically defined characteristics: capable servants who are trustworthy, God- fearing, and honest;
We believe that God has endowed all humans with the natural and inalienable right to ordered liberty, including religious and economic freedom and the right of private property, such that no civil government may justly infringe upon these God-given rights.
